The “GAA ANGELS” are known for their volleyball prowess on island. GAA team sports offer students valuable experience to learn cooperation and joint effort. Emphasis is placed on self discipline and personal responsibility. Fifteen (15) sports credits may be applied to the PE credits required for graduation. See footnote on Appendix A for total PE requirements.
Intramural sports are organized, and run by GAA staff during the second half of the lunch hour. A Credit of .5 for PE may be earned for each type of intramural sport. GAA is involved in two interscholastic high-school sports: Basketball and Volleyball. We offer 2.5 credits per sport. This is subject to change on a year-by-year basis, and dependent on variables such as adequate participation/qualification and game time scheduling. Currently, the league is in association with IIAAG (Independent Interscholastic Athletic Association of Guam). A fee of $50.00 is charged for each type of sport joined. Interscholastic sports are 2.5 credits for each sport per year.
